Dana Hanna was born in New Jersey, but spent the past thirteen years of her life in beautiful Miami, Florida. In January 2006 she made the big move cross country to Los Angeles to take her passion for acting to the next level.

She has a natural and honest way of comprehending and interpreting words although she is still searching for that "breakthrough" role that will showcase all of her talents. She is also a very talented writer and producer and plans on exploring that side of the business even more this year.  She feels that her faith and perseverance will soon pay off.

Currently she is in negotiations with investors regarding "Jaded" a screenplay she wrote. Hopefully it will be completed and released on DVD before the end of this year or early 2009.  She also recently wrote a promo that was entered into the Allstate Be Reel contest for the 2008 "ABBF" and directed by veteran actor Gary Sturgis.  The promo was chosen as one of the three finalists out of 64 entries nationwide! 

Her latest acting credits include a hilarious guest starring role on the new HBO television series "Sex Chronicles", produced by an award winning team:  erotica author Zane, and emmy winning Suzanne DePasse.  It premiers in the fall of 2008.  She has also performed in a children's DVD for Vacation Bible School where she portrays a fairy tale princess.   She loved the role because she tends to get typecast as the "around the way girl" or the "sexy vixen."

Later in the year, watch out for Dana as a regular on the controversial new reality show, "Suge Knight's Unfinished Business," (trailer can be seen on "Youtube"), where she worked side by side with one of the music industries most feared CEO'S.

Dana has also been blessed to be a part of LA's longest running popular stage play, "Diary of a Catholic School Dropout", written by the award winning Layon Gray. (www.Layongray.com )  Working with Layon was such a rewarding experience that she has since worked with him on several other plays.  Since last summer, she has been cast in a wide variety of roles in eight different plays all around the LA area. She will reprise her role as the ghetto fabulous "Suga",  in the play "Strip" which will return January 2009.  She views her stage performances as a way to help her perfect her craft and eventually lead to more television and film roles.

She has trained with some of Miami and LA's top acting coaches.  In November of 2007, she began attending classes at TSAW (TSAW.COM) which is quickly becoming a recognized name in the industry due to the success of the owner and head instructor Tasha Smith.  (ImdB.com)

In January of this year, she  also formed a networking group for actors called "Actors United". ( www.myspace.com/actorsunited ).  Dana and 14 other actors, writers and producers meet once a month to practice their craft, to discuss strategies, to produce projects and to encourage each other amongst other things.  As a west coast "transplant", she realized the importance of having a support group in a town that can be pretty tough on the "new comers"!   The first project of "AU" will be "Lend a Hand".  (the Allstate promo)

With a new attitude and fierce determination, nothing will hold this ambitious Jersey girl back.
